Job Position: Lifeguard
Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the lifeguard is responsible for the enforcement of policies, rules, guidelines and regulations governing the conduct of guests using the facility. Position requires working evenings, weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitors activities in swimming pool area to prevent drowning, injuries or accidents. Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid. Maintains order in swimming pool and adjacent areas; collect fees. Performs cleaning duties including, but not limited to pool, locker rooms and deck. Attends monthly in-service trainings. Performs related duties as required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains records of activity levels and usage. Conducts classes in swimming for varies age groups and levels of ability.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of preventative lifeguarding and current lifeguard techniques standards and procedures related to rescue of a drowning swimmer or any user in a distressful situation in or around the swimming pool. Demonstrates ability to rescue swimmers in danger of drowning regardless of situation and even if possible drowning victim resists rescue efforts.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures common in swimming pool operations.
- Ability to act quickly and calmly in emergency situations making proper judgments as to the correct course of action.
- Ability to deal courteously with the guest and the public.
- Ability to keep personnel information, incidents and sensitive material confidential.
- Sufficient physical strength and conditioning to rescue swimmers in danger regardless of situation.
- Ability to demonstrate CPR and Rescue breathing skills within certification standards.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of proper clean-up and disposal of blood borne pathogens.
- Ability to do routine mechanical tasks required to operate a large aquatic facility.
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
- Basic lifeguard equipment to include but not limited to rescue tubes, backboards, BVM’s, whistles, telephones, two-way radios, and megaphones.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Sufficient physical strength, stamina and conditioning to rescue swimmers in danger of drowning or any other user in a distressful situation, who may resist rescue and/or assistance. Ability to adequately see and hear in order to recognize emergency situations. Ability to work standing or walking for sustained periods of time under varying environmental conditions. Occasional lifting over 75 lbs. to move chemical containers, 50 lb bags of solid chemicals, as well as the possible lifting of an injured individual. Frequent exposure to noise levels that may cause distractions. This high public contact position requiring spoken interaction with the public and guests. Some exposure and working possible hazardous contained chemicals, and in an environment which features water and electricity. Ability to maneuver in confined spaces, such as a pump room environment. Ability to recognize possible perpetrators of criminal activity, including of a sexual nature or any other suspicious activity and take appropriate action. Ability to work in a high humidity and heat environment for long periods of time.
Education, Experience and Formal:
- Must be at least 16 years of age. Prefer 1 year experience as a lifeguard at an indoor aquatic facility or at least 2 years experience as a lifeguard at an outdoor facility.
Additional Requirements:
- Possession of a current lifeguarding, CPR-PR and First Aid certifications are required by the first day of actual employment.
Job Position: Admissions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- This person is the first point of contact for all visitors to the Water Park and is responsible for answering phones, making change, admissions, distributing wrist bands, folding towels, processing credit cards, and maintaining the general appearance of the entrance. This person is also responsible for assisting the water park and hotel as requested.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains records of activity levels and usage for the water park.
Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education and/or Experience
- Must be at least 16 years of age. Prefer at least 1 year experience in customer service or admissions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- CPR and First Aid certifications desirable

Job Position: Food and Beverage (Various)
Cook:
- Follow menu card recipes as outlined in training manual
- Follow "First in First" on all refrigeration and freezer
Server:
- Take order, suggestive sell, ring order, deliver order, collect cash, charge or room charge
- Follow steps of service procedures
- Bus tables
- Do all side work as outlined by manager
- Be part of room service rotation
- Do closing cash reconcilition
Bartender:
- Take orders, ring orders (food or drinks)
- Make drinks
- Restock all beer, wine, requistion liquor
- Take room service order, rotate orders with servers
- Follow all cleanliness , safety procedures
- Do closing cash reconcilition.
Utility:
- Wash dishes/put away
- Empty trash
- Sweep/mop floor
- Assist in cleaning kitchen line and maintaining
- "Clean as you Go"
- Bus tables
- Assist with table set-up in banquet dept.
Concession/Cashier:
- Take order,collect money
- Deliver order
- Keep all paper goods stocked
- Stock condiments
- Sweep/mop floor
- Restock
- Assist in cooking or preparing all food
- Empty trash
- Host birthday party/set-up/tear down
- Deliver bithday cake/and food/assist in all customer needs
- Set up ballons ( all party needs)
- Do closing cash reconciliation
